I’ll do anything for a second chance with my first love.
When Melissa walks into my office,
The past comes rushing back.
Smokin’ hot and curves for days,
She’s not the feisty girl I once knew.
She’s guarded. Damaged. And in need of my help.
As a single dad and a doctor now, giving comes naturally.
I’ll give her what she needs. Plus a whole lot more. And while I heal her, I’ll make her mine. Forever.
This book of a second chance with your first love is so sweet and endearing that I have a silly grin on my face while writing this review! This book is so well written I was hooked from start to finish and read it in one sitting – I just could not stop reading. The characters are so interesting and likeable. The plot is realistic and consistent with a great pace from scene to scene as we follow how the characters deal with loss, depression and past mistakes in their current lives. The amazing, descriptive, really hot sex scenes between Melissa and Brandon are guaranteed to set your kindle on fire. This book is not one to miss! I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book for an honest review.
First Love by Amy Brent was very well written, a story with so much emotion and a bit of drama sprinkled with love. This book deals with a very important subject and found it tastefully done. The writing kept me quite intrigued I was unable to put this book down. The characters are very interesting and intelligent, I enjoyed watching how these two characters reached for a second chance. I highly recommend this wonderful story it will keep you engaged though out the whole book. In my opinion a five star read. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Depression is one of the number one killers in our society or plays a part in it. Melissa is one of the main characters in this story who is coping with depression and is struggling daily. She is sent by recommendation to a doctor who specializes in depression but he is also someone from her past. When Brandon sees Melissa he is shocked because he broke her heart and now trying to deal with the death of her husband has been a struggle. As these two work out her issues they realize they still have feelings for each other. Will they make it work this time or is it too late for these two?
